MM 93.6 bayside. The primary purpose of the center is the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured and orphaned wild birds. A boardwalk winds through cages that are home to wild hawks, ospreys, spoonbills, egrets and more. Theater of the Sea is family owned and operated since 1946 and one of the oldest marine mammal facilities in the world. The lagoons and lush, tropical gardens are home to Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, sea turtles, tropical and game fish, sharks, stingrays, alligators, marine invertebrates, and birds.
This is an excellent little beach next to the Overseas Highway. Located on Lower Matecumbe Key at MM 73.8 Oceanside. Catch this beautiful beach at low tide if possible!
