Event FAQ's

How do I reserve the resort for my wedding or special event?

Weddings can only be booked during our Low Season, between Labor Day and Christmas. To reserve the resort for your event, please call or email our reservation desk for complete details. We will send you our policies and must have a written response from you confirming your commitment, and a $ 2,500.00 facility fee must be paid.

Do I have to reserve the entire Kon Tiki resort for my event?

Yes. When utilizing Kon Tiki Resort for your event, you’ll have exclusive access to the whole property. All 23 units will be put on hold for your event. If all rooms have not been reserved by the date of your event, you are responsible to pay for the unrented rooms.

Is there a minimum night stay for my guests?

Yes. We have a 3-night minimum stay.

What is the maximum capacity?

Please remember that in accordance with local code(s), Kon Tiki Resort has a maximum room capacity of 82 overnight guests and 125 guests on the premises.

When do my guests need to reserve their room?

We expect your guests to start calling and making reservations between the day the facility fee is received and 90 days prior to the event. We require all rooms to be reserved with the first-night deposits paid 90 days prior to the event. Any room not reserved by 90 days
prior will result in a one night charge to the credit card on file.

How far in advance may I reserve the resort for my event?

Because you’ll have exclusive access to the entire property and all 23 units, we recommend reserving at least one year in advance.

May I hire my own vendors?

Yes. Please be aware that any vendors hired by you that will be performing any work or services on Kon Tiki
Resort property will be required to furnish proof of liability insurance to us. Also, any and all tables, chairs, tents, etc., must be removed from the Kon Tiki premises by noon the following day unless you have reserved all units for that day.

What is your event cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy for the event is 6 months prior to arrival. The cancellation notice required for your guests is 3 months. Any room not rented at the time of the wedding will be billed as a 3-night stay to the credit card on file.
